Position: Metallurgical Plant Fitter (C2)

Purpose:
Maintain and repair mechanical equipment within the metallurgical plant, ensuring efficient production, preventive maintenance, and safe operations in line with Gold One standards.
Requirements:
Education: Grade 11 / NQF 4 + Relevant Trade Test (Section 13 preferred).
Experience: 5+ years post-qualification in a gold plant or industrial environment.
Skills:
In-depth knowledge of plant maintenance (crushers, pumps, motors, belts, etc.).
Preventive maintenance & troubleshooting expertise.
Computer literacy.
Strong interpersonal, problem-solving, and communication abilities.
Other:
Valid driver’s licence & own transport.
Legal South African citizen.
Must be able to work at heights & on rotation shifts.
Clear criminal record.
Key Responsibilities:
Execute preventive & corrective maintenance on plant mechanical equipment.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex plant issues.
Ensure compliance with MHSA standards and Gold One’s safety protocols.
Maintain relationships with plant personnel to boost productivity.
Perform functional support, quality control, and implement best practices.
Track corrective measures and ensure follow-ups on overdue actions.
