motivated individual to join our team as a Packer in our RCL FOODS BEVERAGES operating unit.
Requirements
Grade 12/ NQF 4 equivalent qualification
Minimum 1 year manufacturing experience.
Knowledge
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Storage area control
Safety Health and Environmental aspects
Cycle counting and reconciliation
Stock rotation (FIFO)
Duties & Responsibilities
Pack cooled product into crates according to sizes and quantity
Pack crates onto pallet
Verify Best Before dates and label stickers
Verify on daily planning what needs to be packed on the line
Remove completed or defective products and/or materials
Ensure good housekeeping
Attend and participate in all relevant company safety programs
Maintain workplace safety and follow established safety guidelines
Follow Good Manufacturing Practices,
would include making sure that you are wearing required PPE in designated areas, confined space safety.
Report any food safety and food quality related issues to management immediately.
Utilizing continuous improvement mind-set, assist in identifying opportunities to improve process.
Work shifts as required
