About the Role
Midas, part of Motus Aftermarket Parts, is looking for a driven and customer-focused Counter Salesperson to join its Boksburg branch.
The role focuses on achieving sales targets, delivering excellent customer service, and maintaining strong client relationships. The position reports directly to the Retail Manager.
Key Responsibilities
Handle customer and counter sales, ensuring sales targets are consistently met.
Plan, forecast, and report on customer sales opportunities.
Monitor competitor pricing and activities.
Manage customer-related issues, including delivery, telesales, and account queries.
Grow revenue by increasing the customer base and market share within the assigned area.
Build and maintain strong, lasting customer relationships.
Respond to inbound inquiries with quotations, product details, pricing, and service information.
Collaborate with other departments (Accounts, Dispatch, Warehousing, Receiving, Technical) to ensure smooth operations and reduce customer issues.
Qualifications & Experience
Matric (Grade 12).
At least 2 years of experience in an automotive parts sales environment.
Strong background in customer-focused sales.
In-depth knowledge of the local geographical area.
A technical background will be advantageous.
Skills & Competencies
Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Team player with business acumen and an understanding of cost management.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Good planning, organisational, and time management skills.
