Position Summary:

The South African Reserve Bank (SARB) is looking for a professional and highly organized Personal Assistant to provide administrative support to the Head of Department (HoD) and senior leaders in the Currency Management Department (CMD).


Key Responsibilities:

Manage the calendars and travel arrangements for the HoD and senior staff.

Handle and screen incoming calls, address queries, or direct them to the relevant person.

Draft and edit correspondence, presentations, and documents, and conduct basic research if required.

Collect and coordinate project-related information for the department heads.

Review and improve departmental administrative practices.

Maintain professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders across all seniority levels.

Organize and maintain a structured contact and filing system according to SARB’s standards.

Uphold confidentiality and ethical conduct in all tasks.

Carry out ad hoc duties as requested by the HoD and senior managers.


Requirements:

A minimum of an NQF 5 (Higher Certificate) or equivalent qualification.

2–5 years of relevant administrative or personal assistant experience.

Strong computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
