Job Summary
Rand Water is seeking a Process Quality Assistant to provide onsite analytical and laboratory support. The role involves conducting sampling, performing analyses, calibrating and verifying instruments, preparing reagents, and ensuring compliance with ISO standards. The position plays a vital part in maintaining water quality and supporting the Process Quality Manager in meeting compliance objectives.
Minimum Requirements
Grade 12 (National Senior Certificate).
Diploma or S4 in Analytical Chemistry.
Minimum of 2 years’ laboratory experience.
Computer literacy (Microsoft Word and Excel).
Valid driver’s licence and ability to pass Rand Water’s K53 driving test.
Experience in a quality control or accredited laboratory environment.
Completion of Rand Water development programmes or equivalent will be an advantage.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct onsite sampling and laboratory analyses of liquid and solid samples.
Inspect filters and perform equipment calibration and verification.
Prepare and standardize reagents.
Compile weekly and monthly reports.
Support risk management and maintain accurate records.
Provide excellent customer service and liaise with internal and external clients.
Ensure compliance with ISO protocols and laboratory quality standards.
Promote safety and protection of personnel and assets.
