Operator – Receptionist & Switchboard

Purpose:
Act as MTN’s first point of contact — managing reception, handling calls, assisting visitors, providing admin support, and ensuring smooth front-office operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Greet and direct visitors, maintain a professional reception area.

Answer and route calls courteously and efficiently.

Manage mail, deliveries, meeting scheduling, and front-office supplies.

Maintain visitor logbook and security procedures.

Provide basic information via phone, email, or in person.

Support operational problem-solving and escalate issues when needed.

Assist with filing, documentation, and admin tasks.

Requirements:

Grade 12 plus Diploma in Office/Secretarial Administration.

Minimum 3 years in reception/admin, with 1 year on a corporate switchboard.

Knowledge of telephone etiquette and strong customer service skills.
