About the Role
We’re looking for a Rental Technician to join our team on a fixed-term basis. In this role, you will manage the full rental process—from delivering and installing equipment to cleaning and collecting it.

Your work will ensure our equipment is always ready and available for patients and care facilities.


Key Responsibilities

Delivery and Installation

Deliver, install, collect, and remove equipment according to service level agreements, ensuring a fast 4-hour response time.

Build strong, professional relationships with staff in hospitals, care homes, and clinics.

Troubleshoot and resolve issues with medical pumps and mattresses.

Provide end-user training on equipment installation.

Maintain an adequate stock of spare parts and tools in your vehicle.

Operate company vehicles responsibly and in line with company policies.

Be available for after-hours emergency calls on a rotational schedule.

Clean and handle all equipment per infection control standards.

Assist in cleaning and decontaminating equipment when needed.

Monitor market trends and report useful insights to management.

Promote workplace safety by reporting risks and incidents.

Participate in stock audits and regular inventory checks.

Administrative Duties

Accurately complete installation and removal documentation using internal systems.

Maintain vehicle checklists, cleaning logs, and equipment handover forms.

Log all asset-related information, such as contracts, service dates, serial numbers, and usage.


Requirements

Matric / Grade 12 or equivalent qualification.

1–2 years of relevant work experience.

Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.

Valid driver’s license with experience maintaining company vehicles.

Able to work independently and respond to after-hours service calls.

Good organizational and time management abilities.

Professional and presentable demeanor.
