About the Role
RCL FOODS is looking for an energetic and organised Route Controller to join their Baking Division. This role focuses on managing despatch operations, supporting driver-sales teams, and ensuring route optimisation to boost efficiency and sales.
You’ll play a key role in coordinating between dispatch, drivers, and sales teams — helping to deliver fresh products efficiently while maintaining strong customer relationships.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee daily despatch operations and driver-sales performance.
Support sales reps with route optimisation and planning.
Ensure accurate tracking of orders, deliveries, and returns.
Manage crate and driver balances to reduce losses.
Monitor and analyse route data to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
Maintain accurate customer information in systems.
Lead, train, and motivate driver and assistant teams for better performance.
Conduct trade price monitoring and competitor analysis.
Minimum Requirements
Matric (Grade 12) – essential.
Diploma/Degree in Logistics, Sales, or Management (advantageous).
3–5 years’ experience in a Food Manufacturing environment.
Valid Driver’s License.
Experience with SYSPRO (advantageous).
Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
Computer literate and target-driven.
Ability to work independently and under pressure.
