SAPS Labourer Vacancies 2026 – 15 Government Posts Now Open

If you’re looking for a permanent  government job with practical warehouse and stock  management duties, SAPS has 15 Labourer vacancies available across several provinces. Successful candidates will earn R144,024 per annum while gaining experience in supply chain and warehouse operations.

Applicants need ABET Level 4, Grade 9, Standard 7 or NQF Level 1, must be able to communicate in English and one other official language, and be willing to work extended hours when required. A separate application must be submitted for each reference number.


ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

The South African Police Service (SAPS) is recruiting 15 Labourers within the Supply Chain Management Division.

These are permanent Level 2 government positions based in Pretoria, Pinetown, Epping, Kimberley, Lebowakgomo and Rooigrond.

Successful applicants will assist with warehouse operations, stock receiving, stock control, packing, issuing, dispatching, uniform management and general supply chain support depending on the advertised post.


ABOUT THE COMPANY

The South African Police Service (SAPS) manages national policing operations and support services throughout South Africa. Its Supply Chain Management Division is responsible for managing government property, uniforms, equipment, warehouse operations and inventory.

WHO SHOULD APPLY

Applicants should have:

South African citizenship
ABET Level 4, Grade 9, Standard 7 or NQF Level 1
Proficiency in English and one other official language
Basic literacy, numeracy and communication skills
Ability to read and write
Ability to interact professionally with colleagues
Ability to operate basic machines and equipment
Willingness to work extended hours when required


Added advantage:

Previous warehouse, stores, logistics, stock control or labourer experience.

KEY DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES

Depending on the post, duties include:

Receive and inspect stock deliveries
Check stock quantity and quality
Sort and store stock
Pick and pack stock for distribution
Load and unload stock and equipment
Conduct stocktaking and inventory checks
Dispatch stock to end users
Maintain warehouse records
Assemble ranks and issue medals and accessories
Capture stock information on the Provisioning Administration System (PAS)
Manage uniforms and clothing stock
Verify issue vouchers and delivery notes
Assist customers in identifying required stock items
Report damaged or incorrect stock
Assist with warehouse housekeeping
