SAPS Administration Clerk Vacancies 2026 – Grade 12 Government Jobs

A permanent  government job with a salary of R237 453 per annum is now available for organised and computer-literate South Africans. The South African Police Service needs Administration Clerks to handle office support, record-keeping, and coordination  work across its divisions and academies.

You need a Grade 12 certificate to apply. There are posts in Pretoria, Durban, Cape Town, Mafikeng, and many other locations, including border posts and Public Order Policing units. All applications must be submitted before 17 July 2026 at 16:00, so preparing your Z83 form early is essential

WHO SHOULD APPLY

South African citizen with a valid ID
Grade 12 / Senior Certificate / NCV Level 4 or equivalent NQF Level 4 qualification
Proficient in English and at least one other official language
Computer literate in MS Word, Excel, Office, PowerPoint, and Outlook
Good written and verbal communication skills
Strong planning, organising, and administrative ability
Problem-solving skills and analytical thinking
Able to act independently, professionally, and with credibility
Strong interpersonal skills and customer focus
Willing to work under pressure and extended hours

Relevant administration or office management courses
Knowledge of Public Service prescripts
Report writing and presentation skills
Valid driver’s licence (for specified HRD posts)
Applicable three-year Diploma or Degree (NQF Level 6 or higher) where required
Four years’ relevant experience for specified HRD posts

Responsibilities:

Typing reports, letters, memorandums, and correspondence
Maintaining filing systems and managing the flow of documents
Handling incoming and outgoing post and correspondence
Taking minutes of meetings and distributing action items
Maintaining leave records, registers, and attendance lists
Coordinating logistical arrangements for meetings and events
Managing stationery stores and office inventory
Providing secretarial support to senior managers
Updating databases and compiling statistics
Making photocopies and distributing documents to stakeholders
Handling telephone calls and receiving visitors professionally
Preparing presentations and compiling reports
