Thorburn Security Solutions is looking for professional and motivated Grade C Security Officers to join our team.
Reporting to the Security Manager, successful candidates will play an important role in maintaining a safe and secure environment within the motor industry sector.

Key Responsibilities
Protect staff, visitors, vehicles, equipment, and company property.
Conduct regular patrols, monitoring, and access control.
Enforce company security policies and procedures.
Respond to and report incidents, breaches, or emergencies.
Maintain accurate incident and occurrence records.
Deliver professional customer service while ensuring security.
Skills & Competencies
Strong verbal and written communication (English required).
Good interpersonal skills for professional interactions with staff, clients, and visitors.
Attention to detail with the ability to identify risks.
Problem-solving and decision-making skills under pressure.
Integrity, discipline, and reliability.
Ability to work both independently and in a team.
Physically fit for patrol duties.
Strong incident reporting and documentation skills.
Knowledge of security procedures, emergency protocols, and access control systems.
Minimum Requirements
Valid PSIRA Certificate (Grade C minimum).
Matric qualification.
Previous experience in the motor industry or manufacturing security is an advantage.
Knowledge of CCTV, alarms, and access control systems.
Strong observation and conflict-handling skills.
Physically fit and willing to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
Driver’s license and firearm competency (advantageous depending on site requirements).
