Overview

Omnia’s Fertilizer division is seeking a Senior Admin and Logistics Controller to manage and coordinate administrative, logistics, and financial control processes essential to the efficient trading and distribution of fertilizer products. The role ensures compliance with import/export regulations, oversees shipping documentation, manages supplier payments and customer collections, and supports the commercial team in executing trade operations accurately and on time.


Key Responsibilities

Administrative Management

Maintain complete transaction and shipping records.

Prepare and manage all logistics and export documentation (invoices, bills of lading, etc.).

File and archive trade-related paperwork promptly.

Financial Administration

Process supplier payments and manage customer collections.

Oversee purchase orders, invoices, and account setups in coordination with finance.

Support cash flow planning and cost tracking.

Stock Control & Distribution

Manage stock receipts, warehousing, and goods in transit.

Conduct monthly stock counts and oversee distribution aligned with demand forecasts.

Logistics & Supply Chain Coordination

Coordinate local and international freight and shipping.

Liaise with shipping agents, ports, and customers for timely deliveries.

Track shipments, ensure regulatory compliance, and manage customs clearance.

Systems & Reporting

Maintain accurate data and costings in ERP systems.

Generate operational and performance reports.

Support audits and flag potential risks or discrepancies.

Process & General Support

Recommend improvements in cost management, documentation, and efficiency.

Provide admin support to the commercial team and assist with budgeting and reporting.


Minimum Requirements

Education: Matric (Maths & Science) plus a Diploma/Degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain, Finance, or related field.

Experience: 2–5 years in logistics, finance, or administration (preferably within trading, logistics, or agricultural commodities).

Skills:

Excellent organization and multitasking abilities

Strong communication and stakeholder management

Knowledge of international shipping, Incoterms, and customs regulations

Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel) and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Sage, NetSuite)

Financial acumen and analytical mindset


Advantageous

Experience in the fertilizer, logistics, or agricultural industry
