The Ruimsig Campus is seeking a detail-oriented and organised Admissions Officer to manage student admission and registration processes, ensuring compliance, accuracy, and exceptional service delivery.


Key Responsibilities

Student Applications & Admissions

Process and evaluate student applications according to admission criteria.

Collaborate with the student retention team to resolve queries and missing information.

Liaise with academic operations and the registrar’s office for declined or escalated admissions.

Prepare admission letters and maintain accurate records of student data.

Work with Finance to resolve admission-related financial issues.

Track applications through to registration and ensure compliance with organisational SLAs.

Student Registration

Verify registration details and prerequisites each semester.

Manage deregistration and transfer processes.

Maintain accurate, compliant student records per POPIA regulations.

Oversee international student documentation and ensure adherence to policy.

Audit registration files for accuracy and compliance with SAQA and USAf requirements.

Draft and issue various student letters (proof of registration, study permit, etc.).

Graduation Administration

Verify student eligibility for graduation and manage exception cases.

Prepare certificates for short learning programmes and corporate clients.

Ensure all graduation activities and deadlines are met.

Coordinate certificate reprints and verify graduation programme details.

Ticket Management & Reporting

Handle admissions, registration, and graduation queries received via Assist or in person.

Communicate effectively with the Assistant Registrar to resolve queries.

Ensure full compliance with POPIA and institutional data policies.

Complete ad hoc administrative and reporting tasks as required.


Requirements

Qualifications:

National Diploma or Advanced Certificate (NQF Level 6) minimum.

Advanced Diploma or Degree (NQF Level 7) preferred.

Experience:

Minimum 2 years’ administrative experience (preferably in admissions).

Skills & Competencies:

Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Excellent planning, time management, and computer literacy.

Detail-oriented, accurate, and able to perform under pressure.

Customer-focused and systematic approach.


Working Hours:

Monday to Friday: 08:00 – 17:00

Alternate Saturdays as required.
