Minimum Requirements
Grade 12 (Matric)
National Diploma in Parks & Recreation or Horticulture
Computer literacy essential
Valid Code C1 Driver’s Licence
3 to 5 years of relevant horticultural experience
Key Responsibilities
Develop and apply research methods to improve horticultural and sports facility services.
Oversee seasonal preparation and maintenance of turf grass, hard courts, and other sports facilities.
Manage and apply chemical treatments as needed.
Ensure all sports fields and facilities meet the standards required for different sporting codes.
Oversee the efficient operation of horticultural sub-sections.
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental legislation.
Promote fair labour practices and adherence to relevant labour laws and municipal policies.
