Babylonstoren is looking for a highly motivated and experienced Senior Sales Ambassador to join their Johannesburg team. The ideal candidate should bring strong communication abilities, strategic thinking, and a passion for premium wine, agriculture, and lifestyle products.


Minimum Requirements

Matric / Grade 12

A relevant diploma or degree in marketing, sales, hospitality, tourism, brand management, or oenology (advantageous)

3–5 years’ experience in sales or a customer-facing role, preferably in wine, tourism, or premium brands

Strong customer service and relationship-building experience

Excellent written and verbal communication in Afrikaans and English

Proficiency in MS Office, CRM tools, and sales systems

Valid driver’s licence and own reliable transport

Professional presentation and strong etiquette

High level of integrity and confidentiality

Customer-focused with strong negotiation abilities

Self-motivated, proactive, and solution-driven

Passionate about wine, farm life, and sustainable products

Flexible and able to work in a fast-paced, multi-disciplinary environment

Willing to travel nationally

Key Responsibilities

Drive both direct and indirect sales of Babylonstoren products (wine, deli items, lifestyle goods)

Provide exceptional customer service and product knowledge

Organise and conduct wine tastings, private tours, and special guest experiences

Build and maintain long-term customer and stakeholder relationships

Represent the brand at events, festivals, and trade shows

Collect and share market insights with relevant teams

Collaborate internally with hospitality, wine, garden, and marketing departments

Handle sales administration, reporting, and customer database updates

Grow and support the Johannesburg market through sales activities and marketing initiatives
