WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH
In this role, you’ll partner with several teams in the Johannesburg office, including Merchandising, Planning, Marketing, Finance, Operations, Brand, CEMEA, and Nike SA leadership. Together, you’ll support the Next % strategy and serve athletes and consumers.
You’ll need to be flexible and ready to take on new projects or tasks as priorities change, guided by the Marketplace Leader or Country Leader.
WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR
We need a Senior Sales Representative to lead sales strategies and execution across South Africa. Based in Johannesburg, you will focus on growing market share and helping your categories become #1 by executing both local and global plans, launching seasonal stories, and selecting the right products for consumers.
You should have:
Strong retail and sales experience with a deep understanding of consumers.
A proven ability to deliver results and drive product strategies.
Excellent relationship-building and problem-solving skills.
Experience working across teams and engaging with leaders at all levels.
Solid knowledge of retail, Nike products, and market trends.
Merchandising abilities: selecting assortments, reviewing buys, and managing product cycles.
Business planning skills—using data to optimise stock and margins.
Digital experience to enhance customer journeys both online and in-store.
A collaborative, self-motivated attitude and a commitment to diversity and inclusion.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
You will lead account strategy for Lifestyle or Performance categories, influencing both pre-season and in-season planning. Reporting to the Marketplace Manager or Sales Director, your key duties include:
Creating seasonal product assortments aligned with brand direction.
Forecasting and planning using consumer and market insights.
Managing partner relationships and ensuring strong product display online and in-store.
Enhancing the consumer journey, especially around product launches.
Driving revenue and meeting in-season goals.
Leading complex account partnerships and supporting team success.
Delivering top-tier experiences during showroom sessions and sell-in meetings.
Regularly visiting stores for training, market checks, and competitor insights.
Managing trade terms, compliance, and funding.
Supporting brand concept execution and ongoing product availability processes.
Ensuring excellence in showrooms and always representing Nike’s Consumer Code.
