RCL Foods is committed to making a bigger impact — delivering more food to more people, more often. The team is currently recruiting a Senior Storeman for the Benoni Bakery, reporting directly to the Production Manager.
Minimum Requirements
Grade 12 qualification
A National Diploma in Logistics or Production Management (advantageous)
At least 5 years’ experience in an FMCG environment
Minimum 3 years’ experience in departmental management
Strong computer skills with advanced MS Office proficiency
Highly organised and systems-driven
Self-motivated with strong initiative
Willing to work overtime, including most public holidays
Ability to reconcile stock counts and produce accurate reports
Competent in managing and maintaining databases
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Ability to complete routine administrative tasks
Understanding of purchase orders, GRVs, invoices, and Syspro
Knowledge of backflushing, transfers, and handling damages
Key Responsibilities
Improve and manage the current stock and coding system
Optimise and maintain the physical store layout for materials
Oversee the receipt of raw materials
Manage the issuing of raw materials to production and slicing departments
Use SMVs for issuing stock
Update and balance manual Kardex records with physical stock
Conduct daily/interim stock counts and monthly stock takes
Reconcile manual Kardex entries with Syspro records
Verify material certificates, match them with relevant items, and file them correctly
Ensure stock levels are replenished in line with code requirements
Enforce strict control over raw material issuance and access to stores
Monitor and maintain inventory levels
Process purchase orders and track them
Record purchases and update the database
Carry out physical stock counts and reconcile discrepancies
Receive, unpack, and complete food safety documentation for deliveries
Process invoices and returns according to food safety guidelines
Perform clerical duties, including follow-ups and data capturing
Liaise with internal and external stakeholders
Lead, mentor, and train staff in the department
Handle any additional duties as required
