Job Purpose
The role involves operating, managing, and maintaining all functions of a Mobile Manufacturing Unit (MMU) to ensure customer needs are met in line with AECI standards and procedures.
Key Responsibilities
Operate and oversee all aspects of the Mobile Manufacturing Unit to meet customer and AECI requirements.
Perform routine SABS and World Class inspections on both the fixed plant and the MMU to identify issues, implement preventative actions, and support continuous improvement.
Assist in minimising waste and managing operating costs within the approved budget.
Contribute to achieving the region’s financial targets set in the annual budget.
Support with closing or stemming charged blast holes.
Conduct minor maintenance on the MMU when necessary.
Ensure high-quality products are delivered.
Maintain accurate vehicle records for the MMU.
Ensure the MMU is serviced according to the maintenance schedule.
Complete monthly maintenance tasks in line with World Class standards.
Keep the MMU clean and well-maintained at all times.
Assist the FSS team in ensuring MMU licensing and roadworthiness remain compliant and up to date.
Qualifications & Experience
Grade 12 or equivalent
Valid EC Driver’s Licence (must attach a copy to the application)
Ability to obtain a Red Ticket and PrDP
Mechanical aptitude
Must pass a Psychomotor assessment
