About the Role
Clicks is looking for four energetic Shop Assistants / Cashiers to join the team at Mall @ Reds.
The role focuses on delivering excellent customer service, efficient point-of-sale (POS) operations, and maintaining store standards to create a positive shopping experience.
Key Responsibilities
Handle all POS activities efficiently and accurately, including scanning items, processing payments, and managing clubcard rewards.
Ensure secure cash handling at all times.
Actively promote and enroll new Clicks clubcard members to meet participation targets.
Inform customers about promotions to drive sales and enhance their shopping experience.
Provide professional, friendly service as a brand ambassador.
Maintain merchandising and housekeeping standards in line with company guidelines.
Stay informed about product ranges, promotions, and events to assist customers effectively.
Requirements
Knowledge
Basic maths and numeracy skills.
Retail/FMCG background with knowledge of merchandising and promotions.
Understanding of stock control and customer service excellence.
Skills
Strong customer focus with good communication skills.
Planning, organising, and problem-solving abilities.
Computer literacy and accuracy with numbers.
Competencies
Essential: Following instructions, networking, achieving results, delivering customer satisfaction.
Desirable: Teamwork, persuasion, organisation, resilience under pressure.
Minimum Qualifications & Experience
Essential: Grade 12.
Preferred: At least 50% in Maths and English at Grade 12.
Experience: Customer-facing retail/FMCG role advantageous.
