About the Role
Pump and Abrasion Technologies is looking for a Stores Assistant (Picker) to join our warehouse team. The role involves stocking shelves, preparing items for shipment, managing inventory, and keeping the warehouse organized and safe.
You’ll work under the direction of the Stores Supervisor or Manager.
Key Responsibilities
Select items from shelves and prepare orders for dispatch.
Pack, store, and record incoming stock while reporting shortages.
Maintain accurate records of shipments in and out.
Pick, seal, label, and tag orders to ensure correct shipping details.
Place containers on pallets and secure with shrink wrap, strapping, or stretch wrap.
Move completed orders to the dispatch area.
Load and unload trucks using pallet jacks or forklifts.
Keep work areas neat, clean, and safe at all times.
Comply with OSHA and warehouse safety regulations.
Requirements
Minimum 1 year experience in a similar warehouse/stores role.
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Ability to work well in a diverse team.
Comfortable operating warehouse tools, equipment, and machinery.
Physically capable of lifting heavy items.
Reliable, trustworthy, and a good team player.
Note: This is a hands-on warehouse role and involves regular lifting of parts and equipment.
