🧊 About the Role
McCain Foods is looking for a Cold Store Storeman to join their team at the Springs site. The successful candidate will be responsible for receiving, storing, securing, and picking goods — ensuring accuracy, safety, and compliance with company procedures.
⚙️ Key Responsibilities
Stack and store finished goods in designated locations
Verify daily stock against receiving documents
Maintain cleanliness and order in the cold store
Pick goods for dispatch and 3PLs as per picking slips
Ensure all products are correctly labeled and stacked
Conduct daily reach truck and warehouse inspections
Follow all safety, housekeeping, and PPE requirements
Report hazards and participate in safety talks
Assist with ad-hoc duties and train new storemen
🎓 Minimum Requirements
Grade 12 / Matric with strong numerical skills
Valid Reach Truck License
Minimum 2 years’ experience in FMCG or food manufacturing environment
Experience in storekeeping and stock control
Knowledge of inventory counting and stock movement
Good communication and teamwork skills
Attention to detail and safety awareness
