About the Role
Transnova is seeking a customer-focused and tech-savvy Transport Planner to join our dynamic logistics team.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about transport operations, planning, and service excellence.
As a Transport Planner, you’ll manage daily distribution activities — from coordinating logistics between warehouses and delivery destinations to scheduling drivers, managing loads, and ensuring efficient, cost-effective transport operations.
Key Focus Areas
System Management: Monitor unplanned orders, resolve shipment queries, and ensure data accuracy across transport management systems.
Planning: Receive and process orders, manage order cut-off times, create transport plans, allocate carriers, and ensure on-time delivery.
Capacity Utilization: Analyze truck availability and performance, identify inefficiencies, and ensure maximum load utilization.
Transport Optimization & Cost Management: Combine and optimize shipments for cost-effective delivery, maintain rate accuracy, and support special projects to reduce logistics costs.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and publish daily and weekly transport plans.
Communicate schedules and updates to drivers, customers, and warehouse teams.
Manage transporter allocations and address exceptions or failed integrations.
Track deliveries and resolve any delays or planning errors.
Analyze data to improve transport efficiency and cost performance.
Ensure all planning aligns with RFP-selected carriers and company standards.
