Job Summary
Greenway Farms is seeking a Truck Driver to join its talent pipeline. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe, timely, and efficient loading, transportation, and offloading of goods according to company standards.The role demands strict compliance with route schedules, road safety regulations, and operational procedures, while upholding a high level of professionalism and customer service.
Minimum Requirements
Valid Code 14 Driver’s License and Professional Driving Permit (PDP)
Minimum 3 years’ experience as a professional truck driver
Proven experience in loading, securing, and offloading cargo
Solid understanding of road safety regulations and compliance
Basic mechanical knowledge for inspections and minor repairs
Proficiency in using GPS systems and following set routes
Strong knowledge of fatigue management and driver wellness principles
Experience in logistics or fleet operations is advantageous
Skills and Attributes
Excellent attention to detail for documentation and reporting
Strong communication and problem-solving skills
Ability to work under pressure and manage time effectively
Physically fit for handling loading and unloading activities
Committed to safety procedures and proper PPE use
Key Responsibilities
1. Load Management
Ensure compliance with load weight limits
Conduct pre-load inspections for safety
Secure loads properly to prevent shifting or damage
Complete vehicle walk-around checks before departure
2. Route Adherence
Follow designated travel routes
Record and report any route changes or incidents
Comply with all traffic and road safety laws
3. Trip Management
Monitor diesel usage and maintain fuel records
Adhere to planned stops and minimize delays
Report incidents, violations, or accidents promptly
Keep accurate trip logs and job cards
4. Vehicle Maintenance & Inspection
Perform daily and periodic vehicle checks
Inspect tyres, brakes, lights, mirrors, and suspension
Report mechanical issues immediately for repair
Keep truck and trailers clean and well-maintained
5. Safety & Compliance
Always wear required PPE
Follow safe work practices and company policies
Monitor wellness and manage fatigue responsibly
Comply with health and safety regulations
