Warehouse Assistant/Driver – Industrial Automation.
Location: Linbro Park, Gauteng.

Purpose of the Role
The Warehouse Assistant/Driver is responsible for ensuring the smooth movement of goods within the warehouse—from receiving stock to dispatching orders. The role requires accuracy, organisation, and adherence to safety standards. It also includes delivering stock to and from suppliers or customers.
Key Responsibilities
1. Receiving
Identify the shipment source (branch, supplier, or customer) and the type of stock (customer return, transfer order, local or international order).
Confirm the destination (Richmond Park or another location).
Offload and place received stock in the correct warehouse storage area.
Report damaged, short, or excess items and record all discrepancies.
Submit discrepancy paperwork daily and follow up until resolved within 5 days.
2. Storage
Place received stock in the correct storage location.
Package items properly to prevent damage, following company policies and health & safety standards.
Ensure products are safely loaded and offloaded.
3. Order Fulfilment
Remove damaged items from shelves and follow SOP procedures.
Identify shipment destination and type (customer order, replacement, transfers, local or international orders).
Plan daily tasks to meet delivery commitments and collaborate with supporting teams.
4. Packaging
Package items to reduce damage during storage and transport.
Ensure packaging is neat and professional.
Label any unmarked items as required by SOP.
5. Dispatch
Coordinate deliveries to support company goals.
Obtain and manage transport quotes to ensure on-time and cost-effective delivery.
Scan all previous day’s PODs before close of business.
Verify delivery details before dispatch and communicate issues to the salesperson.
Confirm correct delivery equipment with the dispatch controller.
6. Documentation
Check the quality and quantity of items picked; report discrepancies to stock control and supervisor.
File documents according to company SOPs.
Ensure all documents contain signatures from both sender and receiver.
7. Health & Safety
Apply and enforce warehouse and transport safety procedures.
Conduct routine safety checks and address potential hazards.
Ensure staff training for safety certifications (forklift, driver’s licence, first aid, etc.).
Perform vehicle pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
Drive safely and comply with traffic regulations.
8. Computer Literacy
Intermediate skills in Windows and MS Office.
Minimum Requirements
Grade 12 / NQF 4
2+ years warehouse experience
2+ years delivery experience
2+ years fleet and contract management experience
Valid Code 10 Driver’s Licence
Valid forklift licence
