About the Role
The Warehouse Operator will be responsible for receiving and processing inbound freight efficiently and accurately, while managing related customer queries and handling buyback processes from dealers.
This role is crucial to ensuring smooth warehouse operations and maintaining excellent client service.
Minimum Requirements
Matric (Grade 12).
At least 3 years’ warehousing experience.
1 year administrative experience.
6 months’ hands-on SAP Warehouse Management (computer-based, not RF scanner).
6 months’ experience in slotting and planning.
Strong Microsoft Office skills (Outlook, Word, Excel).
Analytical, detail-oriented, and well-organised.
Effective communication skills across all levels.
Positive, professional attitude and a team player.
Must adhere to health and safety procedures.
Key Duties
Arrange and manage dealer collections for buyback returns.
Process purchase orders and credit notes for returns.
Handle and resolve dealer buyback queries.
Lead daily operational meetings (SPQRCE).
Conduct spot checks on inbound processes.
Ensure all freight (local, air, and ocean) is processed within agreed timelines.
Investigate and resolve discrepancies.
Prioritise urgent/bypass parts.
Process all buyback returns within 3 working days.
Manage backorders promptly.
Record and report all freight discrepancies to management and clients.
Update registers, receiving boards, and prepare daily/weekly reports.
