About the Role

FAO South Africa is seeking a National Administrative Assistant to support the FAO Representative’s office in Pretoria. The successful candidate will provide administrative and coordination support, manage office communications, and help ensure smooth workflow between departments.


Key Responsibilities

Manage the FAO Representative’s calendar and appointments.

Handle incoming calls, visitors, and correspondence (including confidential matters).

Organize and coordinate meetings, workshops, and official events.

Track and follow up on pending tasks and communications.

Draft and proofread official correspondence and reports.

Maintain office filing systems and databases, including partnership contacts.

Support administrative workflow and communication between units.

Ensure confidentiality and professionalism in all tasks.


Minimum Requirements

Education: Secondary School Education (Matric or equivalent)

Experience: Minimum 3 years in office or administrative support

Language: Proficient (Level C) in English

Nationality: South African citizen
