A loving family in Montana Park is looking for an Afrikaans-speaking Au Pair to care for their Grade 2 daughter and 5-year-old son.
Working Hours
Monday – Thursday: 13:00 – 17:00
School holidays: Same total weekly hours, but the schedule may change (e.g., two full days instead of four afternoons)
Role Overview
You will be responsible for providing safe, caring, and educational support for the children. Daily tasks include:
Picking the children up from school
Driving them to and from extra-mural activities
Helping with homework and supervising school tasks
Offering general childcare and learning stimulation
Preparing healthy lunches for the kids
Assisting with light dinner preparation for the family when needed
Ensuring a safe, nurturing environment
Requirements
Female, Afrikaans speaking
Must be a very safe and responsible driver
Willing to install a car seat for the youngest child (provided by the family)
Able to start January 2026
Must meet Au Pair Extraordinaire criteria below:
Minimum Au Pair Extraordinaire Requirements
At least 12 consecutive months of formal childcare experience (not for family or friends), within the last 2 years
Own reliable car + minimum 18 months of driving experience
At least 2 contactable childcare references
Clear criminal record
Passionate about working with children
Matric certificate
South African ID
