Do you have a passion for coffee and delivering exceptional service? Tsebo is seeking a talented and enthusiastic Barista to join our team in Sandton.

In this role, you’ll be the friendly face of our mobile coffee bar at Tsebo events, ensuring excellent customer experiences, efficient stock control, and a warm, welcoming atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities

Coffee Service & Preparation

Prepare and serve a wide range of coffee beverages according to recipes and customer preferences.

Ensure consistency in quality, taste, and presentation.

Introduce seasonal drinks and creative recipes.

Customer Service

Greet and engage with customers in a professional, friendly manner.

Take accurate orders, provide menu details, and make recommendations.

Handle queries, complaints, and payments efficiently.

Cash & POS

Process transactions accurately (cash, card, mobile payments).

Balance cash registers and report discrepancies.

Cleanliness & Hygiene

Maintain a clean and sanitized workspace, including equipment and seating areas.

Comply with all food safety and hygiene standards.

Manage waste disposal and recycling.

Inventory & Stock Control

Monitor and restock supplies.

Ensure freshness and correct storage of ingredients.

Manage orders and deliveries.

Equipment Care

Perform routine checks and maintenance on coffee machines.

Report and resolve equipment issues promptly.

Mobile Coffee Bar Operations

Set up, run, and manage the mobile coffee bar at events.

Transport equipment and stock to venues (valid driver’s license required).

Provide high-quality service and engage with event guests.

Training & Compliance

Follow company policies and standards.

Take part in regular training sessions.

Skills & Competencies

Strong knowledge of coffee preparation and brewing techniques.

Excellent communication and customer service skills.

High attention to detail, cleanliness, and presentation.

Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.

Confident with POS systems and payment handling.

Flexibility to travel and work at events.

Positive team player with a proactive attitude.

Minimum Requirements

Matric (Grade 12).

3–5 years’ experience as a Barista.

Valid driver’s license (essential for event operations).
