Job Overview:
We’re looking for a friendly and energetic Cashier to join our team!
You’ll play a vital role in delivering a memorable shopping experience while handling payments efficiently and supporting store operations.
Main Responsibilities:
Deliver excellent customer service and create a “WOW” in-store experience.
Address each customer’s individual needs with a helpful, customer-first attitude.
Accurately operate cash registers and process various types of payments.
Drive sales by suggesting add-on products and services.
Ensure merchandising and housekeeping standards are maintained.
Handle customer returns and report issues to management.
Prepare tills at the start of day and follow all POS procedures.
Set up and maintain promotions and accurate pricing at checkout points.
Participate in stock counts and help reduce stock losses.
Help control expenses and maximize sales in your area.
Protect store assets and follow company procedures closely.
Requirements:
Matric Certificate (Grade 12)
Minimum 6 months of retail experience
Ability to work shifts – must have own or reliable transport
Skills Needed:
Strong customer service and sales ability
Good with numbers and basic calculations
Time management
Basic computer literacy
Other Expectations:
Willing to take on tasks assigned by management
Participate in mandatory training and personal development
Maintain confidentiality of company and customer information
