Requirements
Applicants should:
Hold an ABET Level 4, Grade 9, Standard 7, or equivalent NQF Level 1 qualification recognized by SAQA.
Be proficient in English and at least one other official South African language.
Be a South African citizen.
Be able to read and write.
Have basic literacy, numeracy, and communication skills.
Understand the safe handling of cleaning chemicals and Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) procedures.
Be capable of operating basic cleaning equipment.
Be willing to work overtime or extended hours when required.
Demonstrate professionalism when interacting with colleagues and members of the public.
Responsibilities:
Successful candidates will be responsible for:
Cleaning offices, corridors, kitchens, bathrooms, conference rooms, and other SAPS facilities.
Dusting, polishing furniture, vacuuming carpets, and mopping floors.
Emptying bins and removing refuse.
Cleaning kitchenware and utensils.
Maintaining high standards of hygiene inside and around SAPS premises.
Safely storing and using cleaning materials and equipment.
Assisting with the loading and unloading of goods where required.
Performing additional housekeeping and cleaning duties as assigned.
