A stable government job with a salary of R338,106 per annum is available for experienced administrators ready to step into a supervisory role. The South African Police Service has released a large number of Administration Clerk Supervisor positions across various divisions, including Visible Policing, Detective Services, Legal Services, Technology Management Services, the Crime Registrar, and the Directorate for Priority Crime Investigation.


You need a Grade 12 certificate and at least four years of relevant administrative experience to qualify. A diploma or degree and a driver’s licence will strengthen your application. The closing date for all posts is 10 July 2026 at 16:00.

ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
These are permanent Administration Clerk Supervisor posts at salary level 7. The roles cover a wide range of functions, from performance reporting and strategic planning support to office administration, records management, and data analysis. Depending on the division, you might find yourself compiling performance reports for Visible Policing, managing correspondence for the Presidential Protection Service, or processing crime statistics for the Crime Registrar.


Requirements:
You have a Grade 12 / Senior Certificate / NCV Level 4 or equivalent qualification (NQF Level 4)
You have at least four years of relevant administrative experience
You are a South African citizen with a valid ID
You are proficient in English and at least one other official language
You have strong computer skills, including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
You can write reports, solve problems, and plan and organise work effectively
You have strong analytical, facilitation, and interpersonal skills
You work well under pressure and are willing to work extended hours when needed
You have no previous criminal convictions or pending criminal or departmental cases


Added advantage:
An applicable three-year Diploma or Degree (NQF level 6 or higher)
Relevant training courses in administration or the specific field of the post
A valid driver’s licence for a light motor vehicle
For Technology Management Services posts: IT-related qualifications, data centre experience, or certifications in ITIL, Microsoft, or cloud computing are highly beneficial
