Role Overview
A well-established company based in Germiston is seeking a results-driven External Sales Representative with proven experience in the construction and building industry. This role is ideal for a motivated sales professional who excels at generating new business and building long-term client relationships within the construction, architecture, and building sectors.
Key Responsibilities
Report directly to the Managing Director.
Promote and sell the company’s products and services to new and existing clients.
Identify and pursue new sales opportunities within the construction and building industry.
Develop action plans and schedules to meet defined sales targets.
Contact potential clients, arrange appointments, and conduct face-to-face sales visits.
Follow up on leads and referrals generated through field activities.
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients in the building, construction, and architectural sectors.
Prepare and manage quotations.
Negotiate pricing and close sales successfully.
Address and resolve client queries or concerns professionally.
Follow up on payments and ensure collections are completed timeously.
Minimum Requirements
Matric certificate.
Valid driver’s licence.
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a sales role (construction/building industry experience preferred).
Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent negotiation and closing abilities.
Ability to perform well in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.
High attention to detail with strong organisational and accuracy skills.
