About the Role:

The ATM Custodian is responsible for managing and maintaining a set of ATMs and ADTs (Automated Deposit Terminals). The goal is to keep machines fully operational, loaded with cash, and functioning at peak performance—all while complying with audit and safety standards.


Key Responsibilities:

Load, maintain, and replenish cash in ATM and ADT devices within the assigned region

Take full ownership of the machines under your care

Monitor and reduce cash differences (shortages or surpluses)

Ensure devices meet agreed uptime targets (excluding mechanical breakdowns)

Conduct monthly inspections (e.g., alarm and cash checks) to ensure functionality and cleanliness

Report and follow up on service issues (e.g., vendors like SBV, BMS, DIEBOLD)

Maintain compliance with bank policies, audit, and regulatory requirements

Manage personal development and upskill continuously

Ensure cost control (e.g., data/cell phone usage, fuel, vehicle usage, and overtime)


Minimum Requirements:

Matric (Grade 12)

At least 1 year experience in a retail or similar environment

Valid driver’s license with no endorsements

Ability to handle cash accurately and responsibly

Basic technical and troubleshooting skills

Preferred: NQF Level 5 Certificate (120 credits)
