Job Overview

Spec-Savers Soshanguve Mall is seeking a professional, customer-focused Frontliner to join the team.

As the first point of contact for patients, you will create a welcoming atmosphere, manage bookings, handle queries, and provide essential administrative support.

Strong communication, attention to detail, and a passion for customer service are key to ensuring patients enjoy a smooth and efficient experience.


Minimum Requirements

Education: Matric (Grade 12 / National Certificate).

Experience: Prior experience in customer service, reception, or admin (exposure to optometry, healthcare, or retail is beneficial).

Language: Fluent in English.

Availability: Flexible schedule, including weekends when required.

Advantageous Knowledge: Optical products and medical aid processes.

Other: Proactive, willing to learn, computer literate (Word & Excel), sales skills are a plus.

Responsibilities

Patient Reception & Service

Welcome patients warmly and assist with check-ins.

Handle queries regarding services, products, and procedures.

Appointments Management

Book, confirm, and reschedule patient appointments.

Ensure the daily schedule runs smoothly.

Administration

Update and maintain patient records with confidentiality.

Support medical aid claim processing and insurance checks.

Perform general office duties such as filing and data entry.

Optical Support

Help patients choose eyewear and explain frame and lens options.

Maintain stock and product displays.

Billing & Payments

Process cash, card, and medical aid payments.

Address billing questions and assist with claims.

Team & Practice Support

Work closely with optometrists and team members to ensure excellent service.

Keep the reception and waiting area clean and organised.

Assist with promotions, reminders, and general office support.
