Gold One is focused on developing and mining
low technical risk, high-yield precious metal resources. Modder East Gold Mine was commissioned in 2006 and are located on the East Rand 30 kilometres from Johannesburg and is distinguished from most other gold mines by its shallow nature – at only 300 to 500 metres below the surface.
TMM Fitter
Requirements
Grade 10, 11 or Matric certificate, N2 or equivalent qualification
Trade test in Diesel Mechanic/ Earth Moving Mechanic, Diesel Fitter, Hydraulic Fitter,
Millwright or Fitter preferably section 13 from a recognised institution
Minimum 5 years proven post qualification experience within a trackless mobile machinery
In depth practical knowledge with original
equipment manufacturer qualifications of Sandvik, Caterpillar, Fermel, Manitou, Back/Front Loader, Dozers
and Atlas Copco mobile machinery are essential and not negotiable
Sound knowledge of hydraulic fault-finding hydraulic systems, hydraulic cylinders, drifters, bolters, torque convertors, transmissions, and final drives
Assistant Pumping
Requirements
Grade 10, 11, 12 or equivalent qualification
1-2 years’ experience in mining environment will be advantageous
Proficient in English and any other of the 11 official languages
Applicant must possess good verbal communication skills
Good knowledge of underground water pumps will be advantageous
South African Citizenship

Responsibilities:
Provide efficient support within Engineering (Pumping) section
Ensure all the pumps in area of responsibility are in good and operational order
Report any pump failure(s) immediately to avoid flooding of working ends and travelling ways
Assistant Electrical
Requirements:
Grade10, 11, 12 or equivalent qualification
N2 in Engineering studies in Electrical will be advantageous
1-2 years’ experience in Electrical Engineering in a mining or industrialized
environment is essential and required
Proficient in English and any other of the 11 official languages
Must be able to work at heights and confined spaces
Applicant must possess good verbal
communication skills
Studying towards an Electrical Engineering Trade will be an added advantage

Responsibilities:
Work a cycle or rotation of shifts
Assist Artisan(s) in carrying out their duties efficiently by providing support and carrying tool box, hand tools and other equipment
Maintain tools, equipment and safely keep hand tools
Assistant Fitting
Requirements:
Grade 10, 11, 12 or equivalent qualification
Proficient in English and any other of the 11 official languages
Applicant must possess good verbal communication skills
Basic Pump Fitting background will be advantageous
1-2 years’ experience in an industrialized environment is essential and required

Work a cycle or rotation of shifts
Assist Artisan(s) in carrying out their duties
efficiently by providing support and carrying tool box, hand tools and other equipment
Responsible for good housekeeping in and around the working place
Assistant Boilermaking
Grade10, 11, 12 or equivalent qualification
Proficient in English and any other of the 11 official languages
Knowledge in Boilermaking will be advantageous
1-2 years’ experience in Boilermaking in a mining or industrialized environment is essential and required
Must be able to work at heights and confined spaces
Applicant must possess good verbal communication skills.

Requirements:
Grade 10, 11, 12 or equivalent qualifications.
Code 08/10 driver’s license.
MQA Competency B Certificate; Relevant qualifications, courses and licenses.
Minimum of 1-3 years’ experience in a trackless mining environment.
Proficient in English and any other of the 11 official languages.
Must be a legal South African citizen.
Clear Criminal Record.
Declared medically fit for the position by our OHP
Responsibilities:
Work a cycle or a rotation of shifts
Responsible for operating the Utility Vehicle / Charging Unit
Assist in servicing the vehicle
Assist with and monitor preventative and breakdown maintenance during shift (fill up fuel, oil, lubrication, etc.)
