Position Purpose:
To perform daily maintenance and repair tasks to keep the building in good condition. This includes inspections, responding to work orders, assisting tenants, and supporting the building supervisor or manager when needed.
Key Responsibilities:
🧰 Maintenance Tasks
Regular inspections of the building and identifying maintenance needs.
Respond promptly to tenant maintenance requests and tasks assigned by supervisors.
Check and fix:
Doors, glass panels, and entrances.
Toilets, taps, urinals, and lights (interior and exterior).
Aircon units, pumps, water tanks, sump pumps, etc.
Fire and emergency equipment.
Electrical boards for loose or unsafe wiring.
Complete minor repairs and report major faults to the supervisor.
Ensure compliance with safety and OSHA standards.
🧩 Tenant Support
Conduct quality control checks on new tenant installations.
Assist with tenant moves, partition changes, and premises checks before move-in.
Maintain professional communication with tenants and report complaints or urgent issues.
📝 Administration
Maintain maintenance logs, work orders, and supply usage records.
Update repair history and equipment records.
Assist in placing orders for maintenance tools and supplies.
👥 Teamwork & Support
Work effectively with other staff and managers.
Attend staff meetings and communicate any issues or updates to supervisors.
Step in to assist or act on behalf of the building manager when required.
Performance Goals:
Complete tasks on time and within safety standards.
Keep detailed and accurate maintenance records.
Ensure all equipment is working properly with preventive maintenance.
Communicate effectively with team and management.
Maintain a clean, safe, and secure work environment.
Requirements:
Education: Grade 10 (Standard 8) minimum
Training: Maintenance and repair training beneficial
Experience: 2+ years in general maintenance
Skills:
Ability to work independently
Attention to detail and coordination
Able to read and follow blueprints
Good communication and teamwork
