About the Role

DHL Global Forwarding, Freight (DGFF) specializes in air, ocean, and road freight solutions and provides both standard and tailored end-to-end logistics services across multiple sectors.
We are looking for a Head of Sales to lead and manage the country’s sales strategy, drive growth, and strengthen our market position.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Leadership & Strategy
Lead and manage all national sales activities in line with global and regional strategies.
Drive market expansion, customer retention, and overall revenue growth.
Develop country-level sales strategies that align with DHL’s broader business direction.
Oversee sales performance using process improvements and performance-tracking tools.
Support major customer strategies and participate in key contract negotiations.
Identify improvement areas using sales pipelines and effectiveness reports.
Monitor industry trends, technology advancements, and market shifts to update sales strategies.
Implement operational adjustments that directly influence the division’s revenue and performance.
Stakeholder Management
Negotiate significant contracts and agreements with full decision-making authority.
Secure cooperation from external partners for major proposals and initiatives.
Approve major country-wide strategic sales initiatives and development projects.
People Management
Define team structure, roles, and performance expectations.
Build a culture centered on quality, customer service, flexibility, and cost efficiency.
Encourage teamwork and cross-functional capability within the team.
Lead, organize, and manage the sales function effectively.
Set KPIs, conduct performance reviews, and provide coaching and development.
Allocate resources to meet global, regional, and local targets.
Identify training needs and support the development of a highly skilled sales team.
Requirements
Extensive experience in the Logistics industry.
Strong commercial understanding and business acumen.
Excellent presentation, facilitation, and training skills.
Strong communication (verbal & written) and customer-facing abilities.
Outstanding negotiation and interpersonal skills.
Proven leadership, analytical, organizational, and motivational skills.
Solid experience in people management.
Minimum 10 years’ experience in logistics, including at least 5 years as an Airfreight Manager in a reputable organization.
Degree in Sales, Marketing, Business Development, or Business Management.
