Purpose of the Role

The role focuses on providing comprehensive administrative support across the full scope of human capital functions to help the HR team deliver a positive employee experience and meet operational goals.


Minimum Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in HR, Behavioural Sciences, or a related field

At least 2 years’ HR admin experience in a corporate setting

Knowledge of HR policies, recruitment, onboarding, employee benefits, and compliance

Skilled in HR software, applicant tracking systems (ATS), and Microsoft Office

Strong communication, time management, and organisational abilities

Able to handle sensitive information discreetly

Familiarity with South African labour laws and HR best practices


Key Responsibilities

Process Efficiency & System Improvements

Recommend and implement improvements in HR admin processes

Support various HR initiatives, including organisational design and talent development

Guide employees on HR systems and policies

Direct staff queries to the appropriate support channels

Help employees complete necessary paperwork for compliance

Recruitment Support

Work with Human Capital Business Partners (HCBPs) to facilitate recruitment

Handle end-to-end admin for hiring, including posting jobs and screening CVs

Conduct entry-level interviews and manage onboarding tasks

Maintain professional candidate engagement throughout the process

Ensure compliance with legal and company requirements during recruitment

Onboarding & Induction

Manage the onboarding of new hires and their benefits setup

Coordinate with IT and team PAs to prepare for new employees

Welcome new staff and introduce them to their teams

Ensure smooth execution of onboarding and offboarding procedures

Employee Relations

Provide admin support for disciplinary matters and grievance cases

Assist in retrenchment (Section 189) processes and ensure compliance

Employee Support & Query Resolution

Manage HR-related queries via internal systems like PeopleTrax

Collaborate with payroll and external service providers to resolve issues

Empower staff with self-service tools where applicable

Data, Reporting & Compliance

Maintain accurate employee data across all HR platforms

Ensure timely updates and submissions to payroll

Track staff movements and maintain workforce planning records

Handle exit processes like resignations and retirements properly

Project Involvement

Assist in HR-related projects and cross-functional initiatives as needed
