Role Overview
Feltex is seeking a skilled Learning & Development Specialist to lead the design, delivery, and evaluation of training and development initiatives across the business.
The role focuses on driving continuous learning, ensuring compliance with legislative and skills development requirements, and embedding a culture of growth.
Youβll play a key part in enhancing employee capability, supporting leadership, and aligning learning practices with company goals.
Minimum Requirements
Grade 12 (Matric)
National Diploma in Human Resource Management or a related ETD qualification (NQF Level 6)
2β3 yearsβ experience in a similar role
Advantageous: Registered Skills Development Facilitator, Coach/Mentor, Assessor or Moderator
Key Responsibilities
πΉ HR Legislation
Apply legislative changes to HR policies and practices.
Ensure compliance with Labour Relations Act, Employment Equity Act, BBBEE Act, Skills Development Act, MIBCO Main Agreement, etc.
πΉ Employment Equity & BBBEE
Support equity processes and promote BBBEE awareness.
Assist with the skills element of BBBEE compliance.
πΉ Training & Development
Work with managers to identify and address training needs.
Review individual development plans and source training interventions.
Organise and schedule internal and external training events.
Develop in-house training material and facilitate sessions.
Ensure resources and venues are available for training.
Gather feedback and evaluate programme effectiveness.
Prepare training data for audits (BBBEE, ISO) and assist with audit compliance.
πΉ Administration & Communication
Maintain and distribute training materials.
Update the training calendar.
Manage communication (e.g., newsletters, noticeboards).
πΉ Workplace Assessments & SETA Management
Coordinate outcomes-based assessments and keep records.
Manage learnerships and submit Workplace Skills Plans.
Oversee SETA-related programmes, levy claims, and qualification development.
πΉ Reporting
Compile monthly training and development reports.
