About the Role
We are looking for a driven and results-oriented Local Sales Representative to grow our client base in Johannesburg.

Your main goal will be to acquire new local clients who require our distribution services, with a focus on proactive prospecting, lead generation, and business development.

Key Responsibilities

πŸ”Ή Client Acquisition & Prospecting

Research and identify new business opportunities across retail, FMCG, manufacturing, and industrial sectors.

Conduct cold calls, emails, and in-person visits to generate leads.

Build and maintain a pipeline of qualified prospects through networking and referrals.

Map out local territories to identify distribution service opportunities.

Maintain an updated database of potential clients and their requirements.

πŸ”Ή Business Development

Assess client needs and propose tailored distribution solutions.

Prepare proposals and negotiate service agreements with new clients.

Track competitor activity and identify market gaps.

Build strong, lasting relationships with business owners and decision-makers.

πŸ”Ή Reporting & Administration

Keep accurate records of all sales activities, meetings, and follow-ups.

Report weekly on client acquisition progress and pipeline forecasts.

Analyse market penetration and highlight areas for growth.

Requirements

Education: Matric (sales/business qualification an advantage).

Experience: 3+ years in B2B sales and new business development, preferably in logistics/distribution.

Skills: Strong prospecting ability, negotiation skills, excellent written and verbal communication, and CRM/MS Office proficiency.

Attributes: Self-motivated, resilient, persistent, and comfortable with rejection.

Other: Valid driver’s license and own vehicle. Strong knowledge of the South African business landscape is essential.
