About the Role
Epiroc is seeking a Logistics & Procurement Assistant to support its Procurement and Stores departments. The role focuses on providing administrative and logistical assistance, managing indirect purchases, coordinating supplier deliveries, and facilitating import and export shipments. The successful candidate will help ensure efficient material flow and timely supply within the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
Process and follow up on indirect purchase requisitions, supplier quotations, and purchase orders.
Maintain close communication with suppliers to prevent delivery delays or shortages.
Support import and export logistics, including preparing required documentation and arranging shipment collections.
Coordinate with freight forwarders and courier companies to ensure compliance and on-time delivery.
Create and track delivery notes and update procurement records.
Maintain accurate supplier and logistics data in the ERP system.
Assist with shortage reporting, expediting materials, and monitoring supplier performance.
Provide administrative and reporting support to the Procurement and Stores Manager.
Uphold Epiroc’s values and professional standards in all interactions.
Qualifications & Experience
Matric (Grade 12) is essential.
2–4 years’ experience in logistics or procurement administration.
Knowledge of import/export procedures and freight coordination is advantageous.
Experience in supplier expediting, purchasing, or documentation management preferred.
A Diploma or Certificate in Supply Chain, Procurement, or Logistics Management will be an advantage.
