About the Role
Clover is seeking a Planner: Deployment to join its dynamic Supply Chain Planning team at the Head Office in Roodepoort.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning, monitoring, and managing stock deployment between factories, Central Distribution Centres (CDCs), and branches to ensure smooth product flow and availability.
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree (relevant field)
Proven experience applying supply chain planning concepts and processes
Advanced computer literacy
Experience working with senior management
Valid Code 08 driver’s licence

Key Responsibilities
📦 Stock and Deployment Planning
Maintain accurate stock levels across all warehouses.
Plan and manage stock deployment to branches to achieve a 98% Order Fill Rate (OFR).
Ensure optimal stock levels within target days.
Monitor stock age daily and act to prevent obsolescence.
Investigate and report on obsolete or slow-moving stock.
🚛 Forward and Daily Load Planning
Develop a monthly forward plan for warehouse distribution.
Communicate plans and updates to transport and warehouse teams.
Identify and prioritise urgent stock requirements.
Ensure fair stock allocation in case of shortages.
Plan and coordinate daily delivery loads efficiently.
Confirm that all planned loads are correctly actioned in Tower.
🏭 Warehouse Space and Utilisation
Monitor warehouse capacity and adjust plans accordingly.
Perform daily space checks for incoming and outgoing goods.
Coordinate with planners and principals to address space constraints.
📊 Reporting and Analysis
Generate daily, weekly, and monthly reports on:
Warehouse utilisation and capacity
Primary transport, pallet, and weight efficiency
Stock freshness and short supply
Deployment and load performance
Analyse data and collaborate with warehouse and supply chain planners to resolve issues.
⚙️ Planning Parameters and Policy
Review and update order quantities, minimum/maximum stock levels, and distribution calendars regularly.
Ensure all planning parameters align with operational and policy requirements.
