About the Role

As a Software Product Specialist, you’ll be based at our Johannesburg office and serve as a key support contact for clients using Micromine Pitram, our fleet management and mine production system.
You’ll play a vital role in implementing, training, and supporting customers while strengthening long-term relationships.

Reporting to: Operations Manager

Your Responsibilities

Assist with Micromine Pitram implementations across the AMEE Region and internationally when needed.

Provide technical support via phone, email, and in-person visits.

Conduct training sessions for clients and internal teams (onsite and virtual).

Identify and log enhancement requests, bugs, and development issues.

Participate in BETA testing to verify software functionality.

Support the Sales team during technical demos, trade shows, and events.


About You

You have proven experience in software support, technical training, or help desk roles, with strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Key Qualifications & Skills:

Tertiary qualification in Information Technology, Mechatronics, Mining Engineering, Geology, or a related field.

Knowledge of networking and database technologies (e.g., SQL, Oracle).

Experience in training clients on software use.

Excellent customer relationship management skills.

Willingness to travel locally and internationally (approx. 25–30% per year).

Prior mining industry experience is advantageous but not essential.
