Job Summary:

As a Production Operator, you will be responsible for accurately blending raw materials to ensure consistent product quality. You must follow all production orders, procedures, and safety regulations without deviation.

The role requires strict adherence to Environmental, Health, and Safety standards, while ensuring efficient and high-quality output in line with company expectations.


Key Duties and Responsibilities:

Organize and manage the daily production line activities

Ensure correct labeling of all products

Measure and weigh raw materials precisely

Clean, load, operate, and unload mixers, tanks, and other production equipment

Lift and handle raw materials weighing up to 40kg

Package products into 25kg and 400kg bags

Follow detailed mixing instructions

Maintain production records, including raw material usage and batch details

Keep work area clean and organized

Wear full PPE, including safety shoes, face mask, gloves, and overalls

Monitor product quality and manage waste

Use equipment such as scales, pumps, forklifts, and material handling tools

Follow safety protocols when using mixing tanks and blenders

Perform other duties as assigned by your supervisor


Minimum Requirements:

Education: Matric with Maths and Science or equivalent

Experience: At least 2 years in chemical batch processing (preferred)

Other Qualifications: Chemical-related training and a valid forklift license are advantageous


Skills and Competencies:

Attention to detail when using raw materials and recording lot numbers

Ability to follow written instructions and processes accurately

Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to speak in group settings

Proficiency in basic mathematics and working with fractions and decimals

Able to operate SCADA and HMI systems

Physically capable of lifting up to 50kg, using stairs, and working at heights

Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with hazardous materials

Willingness to work shifts and unplanned overtime as needed

Ability to troubleshoot equipment issues and identify process bottlenecks


Work Environment:

Manufacturing plant setting

Exposure to hazardous chemicals

Frequent use of stairs and lifting

Shift work and overtime may be required
