About the Role
An established Hydraulics and Engineering company is seeking a Quality Storeman / Administrator to manage operational stock control, asset administration, and safety documentation.
This dual role ensures the workshop and field operations run smoothly with accuracy and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
🧰 Inventory & Stock Control
Maintain optimal stock levels of hydraulic components and general supplies.
Process purchase orders promptly to avoid shortages.
Accurately record all stock movements (in and out).
Conduct regular inventory counts and maintain detailed stock records.
🚚 Fleet & Asset Administration
Keep detailed records of the company fleet (services, maintenance, condition reports).
Manage vehicle bookings and monitor fuel consumption.
Conduct regular spot checks to ensure vehicles meet operational standards.
🦺 Safety & Compliance Administration
Manage and issue Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to staff.
Maintain up-to-date records of all safety gear and compliance documents.
Assist with general health and safety administration.
Minimum Requirements
Education: Relevant Certificate or equivalent qualification.
Experience: 3–5 years in a Storeman, Stock Controller, or Administrative role within engineering/manufacturing.
Technical Skills: Familiarity with industrial consumables or hydraulic components (advantageous).
Computer Skills: Proficient in MS Excel and inventory systems.
Attributes: Strong attention to detail, well-organized, and able to multitask.
Preferred: Candidates from or near the East Rand area.
