Job Summary:
The main goal of this role is to reduce the company’s financial risks by overseeing the recovery of assets, particularly vehicle repossessions.
The role includes maintaining up-to-date and detailed records of warrants, investigations, and financial liabilities. It also involves working closely with external stakeholders like Sheriffs, storage vendors, and suppliers to ensure repossessed vehicles are handled, stored, and processed correctly and legally.
The position demands strong communication and negotiation skills, especially when working with Sheriffs and negotiating pricing with service providers like panel beaters.
Minimum Requirements:
Grade 12 certificate
Valid driver’s license
Skills in tracing and investigations
Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
High attention to detail and a quality-driven mindset
Strategic thinking and adaptability to change
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain updated records of all active warrants
Log investigative actions in a dedicated diary
Track the status and financial exposure of each warrant
Document all interactions with Sheriffs
Build and maintain strong relationships with Sheriffs and suppliers
Use internal tools to support repossession efforts
Submit vehicle inspection reports via Quantamax
Ensure safe storage of all recovered vehicles at approved facilities
Submit affidavits or statements related to accounts when required
Negotiate competitive rates with panel beaters when necessary
Facilitate communication with loss adjusters
