ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
The South African Police Service (SAPS) is recruiting 23 Groundsmen within the Human Resource Development Division.
These are permanent Level 2 government positions based at various SAPS Academies nationwide.
Successful candidates will help maintain academy grounds, gardens and facilities. Duties include cleaning, refuse removal, grounds maintenance, operating gardening equipment and assisting with the upkeep of SAPS training environments.

WHO SHOULD APPLY
Applicants should have:
South African citizenship
ABET Level 4, Grade 9, Standard 7 certificate or NQF Level 1 recognised by SAQA
Proficiency in English and one other official language
Basic literacy, numeracy and communication skills
Ability to read and write
Understanding of Occupational Health and Safety protocols
Knowledge of handling cleaning detergents
Ability to operate basic machinery and equipment
Ability to interact professionally with colleagues
Willingness to work extended hours when necessary
