About the Role

The Shuttle Driver is responsible for operating Seriti Green’s daily shuttle service between the Illovo (Sandton) Head Office and the Bethal, Mpumalanga office. The role also involves transporting staff, clients, and visitors to airports and various company locations, ensuring fleet vehicles are safe, clean, and compliant, and managing routine vehicle maintenance.


Key Responsibilities

Transport & Shuttle Duties

Operate the weekday shuttle from Illovo to Bethal: depart Illovo at 6am, return from Bethal at 3pm to arrive back in Illovo at 5pm.

Pick up and drop off employees, clients, and stakeholders at airports or other required locations.

Drive to other company sites or venues as needed.

Fleet Management

Keep all company vehicles in good working condition.

Schedule and monitor vehicle services; report mechanical problems immediately.

Ensure licences, registrations, and roadworthy certificates are up to date.

Maintain vehicles by keeping them clean, fueled, and ready for daily use.

Maintain accurate logs of mileage, fuel usage, and maintenance.

Compliance & Safety

Follow all traffic laws and company driving policies.

Ensure safe transport of passengers and goods.

Complete journey management documents and safety checklists.

Report delays, accidents, or incidents to the Office Manager.

Professionalism & Communication

Provide courteous and professional service to all passengers.

Communicate clearly about schedules, route changes, or delays.

Maintain confidentiality when transporting company stakeholders.


Education & Experience Requirements

Minimum Grade 10 (Matric/Grade 12 preferred).

Valid South African Code 8 (or higher) driver’s licence.

At least 5 years’ professional driving experience in a corporate or logistics environment.

Valid Professional Driving Permit (PDP).

Clear criminal record.

Experience with shuttle services or long-distance group transport is beneficial.

Knowledge of Gauteng and Mpumalanga routes and alternates.

Basic vehicle maintenance and road safety knowledge.

Familiarity with fleet logbooks and journey management procedures.
