About the Role
MCE Electric is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Stock Handler to support efficient warehouse operations.
This role requires someone hands-on, physically fit, and organized, with a strong sense of teamwork and accuracy in stock management.
Key Responsibilities
Receive, offload, and sort incoming stock for storage.
Place stock in the correct bin or shelf location.
Move bulk items to mezzanine storage and manage inter-warehouse transfers.
Keep shelves and mezzanine areas neat, labeled, and stocked.
Rotate stock using FIFO principles to prevent expiry or obsolescence.
Assist with cycle counts, sectional stock-takes, and locating misplaced items.
Identify and report damaged or incorrect products.
Load/unload vehicles and prepare stock for daily operations or courier deliveries.
Support other departments with stock requests, picking, and packing when needed.
Requirements
Matric / Grade 12 or equivalent.
Previous warehouse/stockroom experience (preferred but not essential).
Forklift license (advantageous).
Physically fit for lifting and moving stock.
Skills & Competencies
Basic understanding of warehouse and inventory procedures.
Knowledge of FIFO stock rotation.
Good organizational and time management skills.
Ability to use manual handling tools (trolleys, pallet jacks, etc.).
Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
