Job Summary
The South African Reserve Bank (SARB) is seeking a Team Leader to oversee the day-to-day security operations at its Head Office Facility.
The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, supervising, and ensuring the effective execution of security services.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Supervision: Provide operational supervision to security teams.
Team Leadership: Fulfill team leadership functions, including on-the-job training, development, and performance management.
Governance and Compliance: Ensure compliance with governance documents, policies, procedures, and legislative requirements.
Special Security Events: Plan and implement special security events.
Risk Management: Analyze and escalate management information, implement risk and vulnerability assessment recommendations, and liaise with stakeholders to mitigate risks.
Security Resources: Provide security resources, manage the Fit-for-Deployment Programme, and ensure operational fitness of security equipment.
Requirements
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Security Management, Security Risk Management, or an equivalent/related NQF 7 qualification.
Experience: Five years’ experience in a National Key Point security environment, with at least two years’ supervisory experience.
Knowledge: Sound knowledge of the security industry, security systems and technology, facility operational security, and relevant legislation.
Skills: Drive for results, teamwork, effective communication, impact and influence, negotiating skills, interpersonal sensitivity, analytical and problem-solving skills, planning and organizing, judgment and decision-making skills, and integrity.
